Friends of the Greenbelt Museum, a non-profit organization, maintains an original 1937 residential unit as a museum representing early Greenbelt. The Greenbelt Museum is a two story building of cinderblock construction, which sits adjacent to open space and walkways, reflecting the harmony of housing and nature within the planned community. Visitors are welcome on Sundays from 1pm-5pm, and by appointment. The Greenbelt Museum also has exhibition space in the Greenbelt Community Center at 15 Crescent Road.
