Project Description
The Greenbelt Business Capital Infrastructure (GBCI) Grant program offers financial assistance to local small businesses and property owners impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This grant supports business recovery efforts related to business interruption, improvements and continuity. Applicants must meet eligibility guidelines and provide evidence of financial impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Application Information
Eligibility:
- Awardees must be a business, cooperative, contractor, or self-employed individual, physically located in the City of Greenbelt, and follow all Federal, State, County and City laws, codes, rules and regulations at the time of application.
- Awardees must have a current City business license and are fully operational prior to the disbursement of grant funds.
- Awardees of this program cannot receive funding from other City grant programs from the Economic Development Department within this fiscal year (FY July 1,2022 - June 30,323).
- All grant-funded projects must comply with City, County, and State codes and regulations and awardees must obtain permit(s) for certain work as required by City and County Code.
- Awardee must complete project within 6 months of the notification of grant funds
Examples of eligible expenses include, but are not limited to:
- Exterior / Interior Components and Fixtures
- Façade Improvements
- Facility / Technological Upgrades
- Equipment
- Interior Alteration / Expansion
- Architectural, Engineering, Planning, or Permitting Fees
Ineligible Uses:
- Business Operating Expenses (Please see Business Improvement Recovery Fund Round III)
- Foundations
- Landscaping/Hardscaping
- Debt/Loan Repayments
